What is Gremolata?
Gremolata is a sauce made from fresh parsley, lemon, garlic, and sometimes olive oil and salt. This sauce has a bright flavor that is often paired with heavier or smokier meat dishes to bring balance to the dish.
How is Gremolata used in cooking?
There are many ways that you can use gremolata to compliment different dishes. Often found aside or atop grilled or slow-smoked meat dishes, you can also add gremolata to vegetable dishes, top grilled fish with it, or use it as you would a pesto with pasta or rice.
