What is Fondant?
Fondant is an icing that is used to decorate cakes and other desserts. There are two types of fondant, rolled or poured. Rolled fondant is the most common type as it can be shaped into many elaborate designs or rolled to a perfectly smooth finish.
How is fondant made?
Fondant is made by boiling water and sugar together, a method that allows the sugar to hold more water than it normally can. The fondant is then shaped into a ball that can be rolled out and shaped, or corn syrup is added to make it into the portable version.
