Madhi Barlati

Born in Meknes Morocco, Mahdi’s first experience with cooking was through the institute of hotel and tourism of Meknes for 2 years. After many internships between hotels and restaurants, he became chef de partie in at Relais De Paris.

After this experience he decided to start a new career in Saudi Arabia to learn more about Middle Eastern food at Mercure hotel where he worked for 3 years.

Mahdi moved back to Morocco and started a new career at Chiringuito restaurant were he worked for 9 months before deciding to look for a new opportunity to learn about the western food. That is when he moved to Canada to become the Sous Chef at the Den restaurant at Silverstar ski resort.

More recently he began a new career at the 50th parallel winery, one of the best 100 restaurants in Canada.

His food is a mix of Moroccan, European, Middle east and western cuisine.
